In November 9-12, PlutoF team visited academic publishing company Pensoft in Bulgaria. The aim was to develop a prototype connecting the two systems - Pensoft’s ARPHA writing tool and PlutoF Biodiversity Platform. This is a multi-phase development project.
First solution to be developed would allow researchers to import their data from PlutoF platform directly into their online Pensoft journal article in a dynamic and seamless way.
Another innovative solution discussed between the two groups, was an automated workflow for generating BDJ data papers based on biodiversity data published on PlutoF platform.
According to Allan Zirk, the IT team leader, these solutions will be available for PlutoF users in the beginning of next year.
