The University of Tartu Natural History Museum will open their visitor center on Wednesday 13 May

Published 11.05.2020

In cooperation with museums, the Ministry of Culture has elaborated a set of detailed guidelines on visitor reception during continuation of the emergency situation declared in Estonia. These guidelines are also observed by the University's museums. We kindly request museum visitors to come alone or in pairs and keep at least a 2-metre distance with other visitors. We ask to register in advance for group tours and study visits and we will arrange these for parties consisting of up to ten people. Disinfectant is available for visitors to wash and disinfect their hands when arriving at and when leaving our visitor centres. We will disinfect touched surfaces and ventilate enclosed spaces regularly in order to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.

The exhibition The World in a Rucksack: 100 Years of Natural History Expeditions, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Estonian-language university, will remain open at the Natural History Museum until Midsummer Day (24 June).
