The Nature Festival

The Nature Festival is a nation-wide event in June. The Nature Festival is organised by the University of Tartu Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden in cooperation with partners, including nature education centres, nature associations, leisure centres and many others. The aim of the Nature Festival is to draw attention to the importance of nature in the urban environment and to value the biodiversity around us.

The festival will feature a wide range of workshops, excursions, lectures and other activities. Every year there are also traditional events such as the photo contest "Wild City", the Bird Jam concert and the 24-hour nationwide BioBlitz. The Nature Festival is supported by the Environmental Investment Centre.

The Nature Festival is part of The European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 program and is called Arts of Survival Urban Nature Festival: “Nature Creates".

Each event in the programme will provide new insights for both enthusiasts and professionals themselves, who deal with nature issues on a daily basis. It's great to see enthusiastic nature lovers finding their way to the Nature Festival!
